Michael Moggeridge founded Hybrid in 2017, with the goal to form a consultancy that would do the right thing and cut to the chase. This formula has led to Hybrid already having worked on some of the largest and most pioneering projects in the UK and Europe that include Euston Station.
In 2022, Hybrid became a wholly owned subsidiary by Qvantum – a market leader in heat pumps. This partnership will expedite Hybrid’s ability to bring net-zero energy storage to cities by decarbonising heating.

We are honest about the capacity and capability that we have to hand and always make sure that our solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and exceed expectations. We also do this with an uncomplicated contractual approach and always with good humour. The vast majority of our work is repeat business or through recommendation and do not chase work that does not fit our skill sets.
On ground source energy-related schemes it is good to know that the person taking the lead has two geology degrees, 25 years of postgraduate experience, and 15 years of sector-specific experience as a contractor, consultant, and client. With our complete knowledge of low-carbon solutions and each of their strengths and weaknesses, we often create hybrid schemes that are able to operate well throughout the entire year rather than good through certain times and very poorly through others.
We have over 80 years of professional geological knowledge across 5 core members of our in-house team and as such we are very comfortable analysing ground conditions before drilling to mitigate as much risk as possible. We are able to explain expertly how our solution is integrated with foundation design so all stakeholders are satisfied. This is also appreciated by the supply chain who are then able to factor less risk into pricing and are comfortable with our presence on projects. This tied together with similar lengths of M&E professional experience makes hybrid the choice for any ground source energy project.
